Come join us at Paddy’s for a night of geeky fun and drinks at Tavern Talks – Dork Side of the Moon: How the Ancient Greeks Measured the Solar System W/Sarah Hagen
Using eclipse events and the geometry of triangles, a group of ancient Greek dorks were able to measure the size of, and distance to, both the moon and the sun with surprising accuracy. In this presentation, participants will learn how the Greeks were able to make such astounding measurements despite living in a time period so primitive that pornography was accessed via pottery.

At the end of the month, we wrap up with a special live session to reflect on the book before moving on to the next one.
